The seven escape the angry village and hide out in caves. Mallory steps in, uses her gifts to save him but exposes herself as a magi. Without Mallory’s help, the angry mob will kill him. In a small village Jadan gets separated and is accused of theft. Leland, Pintra, Faolan, Jadan, Ovra, and Erga travel from Scons province to Lins to seek a magi master. But she must go where her gifts send her. If anyone discovers she is a magi, her life is in peril. Mallory’s magi gifts send her north into the province where almost all the magi were killed. SB: What’s the weirdest thing on your desk? Sleep isn’t really necessary is it? I do make an effort to stop writing at midnight. Honestly, it annoys me and I often write for an hour longer. This means there’s an alarm which tells me it’s time to stop writing. Who has time for that? I mean, I’m writing.īut I do have a day job. On more than one occasion I have forgotten to sleep, eat, or visit the bathroom. I write until the words stop – or if I’m interrupted. Often my daughter’s cat is on my feet so I try not to disturb her. When I’m writing, I’m typically in my recliner with all but one light off and classical music playing.
